Process: My attitude determines what kind of day I have.

Upon waking up, I think about the upcoming day. Making the most of this day is vital to my existence. I consider how I can best enjoy today and feel proud of my accomplishments.

Although things happen that are unexpected or less than positive, my attitude makes a big difference in their outcomes. My mental state when the day begins determines how I react and relate to others as the day progresses.

I accept that life occasionally brings challenging situations or people. I choose to have a positive attitude in order to combat the tough times.

Sometimes, events happen that affect my outlook. Even so, I know it is up to me to do whatever is necessary to readjust my attitude.

I realize that I am the only one who is truly responsible for what I believe and feel. The power of my mental state each day is unmatched by anything else. I harness this power and use it to my advantage.

Today, I know I can demonstrate an attitude of calm confidence and positivity. My life is enriched because I recognize the connection between my attitude and the success of this day. My day is more fulfilling because I approach it with a healthy mind and stable emotions.
